I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.  Revelation 3:8 (NLT)

ree

God is at work on your behalf.  He is fully aware of all that you do and will never forget your sacrifice and labor of love.  That’s important to remember.  Especially when you’re dealing with people.  Sometimes, people forget.  They forget how you have been there for them.    Regardless of how thankful they may have been initially, as time passes, people tend to forget.  They forget how much you’ve sacrificed your time, talent and treasure.

Our focal point today is derived from the letter to the Church at Philadelphia.  The church at Philadelphia was a good church.  If its name implies its character, it was a loving church. Yet, it was also a church that faced much opposition. Yet, in the face of opposition, it remained faithful, obedient and persevering.  The Lord sends a message of encouragement to this church, reminding them that He knows their works.  That He is aware of all that is going on around them.  He rewards their obedience and faithfulness by opening a door that no one can close.

Beloved, know today that God is completely aware of you and your circumstances.  Regardless of the challenges that are occurring in your life right now, remain faithful and obedient to Him.  His promise is applicable to you.  You may be forgotten by those that you have labored to help along the way, but be faithful.  God will reward you by opening doors and creating opportunities that no one can hinder.  In fact, look around you…the door IS open.

Prayer – Thank You Lord for reminding us today that You are aware of all that is going on in our lives.  We commit to remain faithful and obedient servants to You.  We wait with earnest expectation, looking for the doors that You will open and the opportunities that You will create. This is our prayer and we pray it in Jesus’ Name, AMEN
